Yvan Moreau, photographe
La révélation qui lance Yvan Moreau a lieu en 2003 lors d’une rencontre avec Jacques Garcia. Le célèbre décorateur découvre le travail du photographe et lui propose de réaliser avec lui le livre « Moderne », Gallimard, qui présente l’ensemble des établissements publics sur lesquels il a travaillé dans le monde. Pour l’autodidacte qu’il est, ce premier projet de large envergure lance immédiatement Yvan Moreau dans le monde de la décoration.
C’est alors à Hong Kong qu’il s’installe pour travailler avec la diva chinoise du design« Pearl Lam ». Pour elle, il réalise des reportages sur ses différentes collections d’art ainsi que sur ses appartements privés, entre Hong Kong, Shanghai et Bangkok.
En 2005, de retour en France, Yvan retrouve Jacques Garcia pour son projet chez Flammarion, « Jacques Garcia ou l’éloge du décor ». Sa reconnaissance l’amène alors à travailler pour les plus beaux palaces d’Europe (à Paris, en Italie ou en Suisse particulièrement) mais aussi pour des clients privés, commele Sultan de Brunei ou le Prince du Qatar.
Sa collaboration avec le plasticien John Armleder donne aussi lieu à une exposition à Paris en 2008, organisée par le Centre Culturel Suisse et suivie d’un livre « John Armleder : Jacques Garcia », chez JRP/Ringier.
Aujourd’hui, alors qu’il continue de travailler pour différents hôtels prestigieux et demeures privées, c’est à Yvan Moreau que le Mobilier National a choisi de confier la réalisation de prises de vues exceptionnelles au Palais de l’Elysée, Ministère de la Défense, Ministère de la Culture et 11 ministères de l’Etat.
Parallèlement à ses travaux de commande,Yvan Moreau expose régulièrement des œuvres plus personnelles que l’on retrouve dans certaines galeries parisiennes ou jusqu’aux couloirs de la magnifique Mamounia à Marrakech.

The revelation that launched Yvan Moreau took place in 2003 during a meeting with Jacques Garcia.The famous interior designer came across the photographer's work and suggested producing the book "Moderne" with him, published by Gallimard, which presents all the public establishments in which he worked throughout the world. For the self-taught photographer, this first major project immediately launched Yvan Moreau intothe world of interior design.
He then moved to Hong Kong to work with the Chinese diva of design "Pearl Lam". He recorded her various artcollections as well as her private apartments, in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bangkok.
In 2005, on his return to France, Yvan again worked with Jacques Garcia for his Flammarion project, "Jacques Garcia ou l’éloge du décor" (Jacques Garcia or inpraise of decor). His recognition then led to work for the most beautifulluxury hotels in Europe (in Paris, Italy and in Switzerland especially) butalso for private clients such as the Sultan of Brunei and the Prince of Qatar.
Collaboration with the artist John Armleder also led to an exhibition in Paris in 2008, organized by the Swiss Cultural Centre and was followed by a book"John Armleder: Jacques Garcia", published by JRP/Ringier.
Today, while hecontinues to work for different prestigious hotels and private dwellings, it was to Yvan Moreau that Mobilier National (National Furniture) chose to entrusttaking some remarkable photographs at the Elysée Palace, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Culture and 11 Ministries of State.
Along side his commissioned works, Yvan Moreau regularly exhibits his more personal works that can be found in certain Parisian galleries or even in the corridors of the magnificent La Mamounia in Marrakech.
